Rock netting is used as a containment measure to mitigate rock fall risks. The netting (commonly called mesh) takes the form of a drapery secured at the crest and toe by dowels with additional profiling/support cables as necessary. Netting can be released to allow accumulated rock falls and requires basic inspection and maintenance.

High tensile netting provides active support in conjunction with dowels/bolts on a grid pattern.

Erosion control netting or matting can be used with rock netting or as a standalone solution, to reduce weathering and assist in regrowth of vegetation, sometimes with addition of topsoil and seed mixes.

All types of netting and erosion control are installed by Rock Solutions in a wide range of locations, from large quarry faces to newbuild housing developments and extensively to road/rail infrastructure.
